Vincent Fago created the 1950s character, The Checkered Pup, and drew Peter Rabbit and other funny animal comics and strips. Fago also had is own publishing imprint. The exhibit at The Center for Cartoon Studies includes original Peter Rabbit artwork, comicbook covers, and character study drawings.
