Why We Work: Technology

If you don’t have the right tool for the job, you’re working twice as hard. But what if you can’t afford the right tool? Many schools mandate the purchase of laptops and software to attend their programs. At The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) the use of computers and an array of technological tools are provided for all students: Tablets, ipads, scanners, and much more are available to all. So not spending over $2000 to buy and load a laptop means you don’t have get a second job while attending, which means more time at your drawing table making comics.

Already have your own laptop or want to buy your own? We partner with Apple and software companies to provide educational discounts. One big reason we can provide you with the latest software and hardware is because of the support CCS receives from the Will and Ann Eisner Foundation. That’s right, CCS students are creating work with tools provided by legendary cartoonist Will Eisner! Will’s still with us.
