Twelve U.S. and eight international journalists have been awarded John S. Knight Fellowships to study at Stanford University during the 2010-11 academic year. Among the twelve U.S. journalists, selected from a pool of 133 applicants, is CCS alum Dan Archer. He is the first comics journalist to receive this honor.

At Stanford Dan Archer will pursue an independent course of study while having access to the university’s classes and resources. He plans to create a rich content digital comic, taking full advantage of the flexibility of the web’s infinite canvas along with its capacity to stream video, animation and include interactive elements.
