Laura Terry ′10 is the author and illustrator of the graphic novel, Graveyard Shakes (Scholastic Graphix, 2017). As a child, she spent her days in rural Texas raising livestock, playing in the woods, and discovering an intense love for books, particularly those of Neil Gaiman, Roald Dahl, and Ursula K. Le Guin. Laura is a former Xeric Grant winner for Overboard. Laura graduated from Pratt and received her MFA from The Center for Cartoon Studies. Now she works (and plays) as an illustrator and cartoonist in Brooklyn with her tiny poodle, Muffin. She especially loves drawing adorable woodland creatures and fantasy stories involving ghosts.
